Navigating the criminal justice system can be intimidating and even frightening. The State of Texas will have experienced prosecutors handling your case. When your freedom is on the line, you need an attorney who is prepared to fight for you. As a former prosecuting attorney, Brandy Oliphint has gained insights into the strategies prosecutors will use against you. She will use those insights to aggressively defend your rights.
In a criminal case, records of arrest and court records are available to the public. Under certain circumstances, a judge can order the records to be expunged (deleted). If you have been acquitted of an offense, your case has been dismissed, you have been pardoned, or the grand jury refused to indict you, you may be eligible to have the records expunged.
If your case has been dismissed following successful discharge from deferred adjudication probation, your case may be eligible for nondisclosure (the State will not make the records available to the public).
